In the Ayurvedic Thala Pothichil therapy, a herbal paste is applied on the crown of your head by a trained therapist. The applied paste is traditionally made with buttermilk and medicinal herbs and it will have about 3 cm thickness. Medicated oil is then poured into this groove. The paste walls are then covered with banana leaves. After 30-60 minutes, the paste is removed, and then a gentle head massage is given.
This is a great treatment for hair care and a variety of diseases affecting the head and neck.
